Graduate Student, MCB

Berkeley Fellowship for Graduate Study

I received my B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Miami in the spring of 2019. As an undergraduate, I worked in the lab of Dr. Michal Toborek, studying the effects of antiretroviral therapy and HIV-1 infection on the blood-brain barrier and neural progenitor cells. As a doctoral student in the Dillin Lab I am interested in investigating the communication of ER stress from the nervous system to distal tissues in the context of aging, working with Melissa Metcalf and Ashley Frakes.
