Research

I received my bachelor's degree in MCD Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Afterwards, I did a post-baccalaureate program at Case Western Reserve University as a NIH PREP Scholar in the lab of Dr. Jason Mears, studying the effects of patients mutations in Drp1 on mitochondrial fission machinery. Currently, in the Dillin lab, I'm working with Koning Shen to study the mtUPR to better understand the bridge between mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic diseases in relation to stress.
