I received my B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University, where I studied the effects of host-derived stress on bacterial growth in the lab of Dr. Kim Davis. After graduating, I worked as a synthetic biology Research Associate at Octant, a drug discovery start-up in the Bay Area. I left Octant in 2024 to teach 10th grade biology at my high school alma mater in Boca Raton, Florida, before returning to the Bay Area to pursue my PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at UC Berkeley. In the Dillin Lab, I am interested in studying the role of mitochondrial dynamics and metabolism in immunity, particularly in the tumor microenvironment.
